Keep one accurate size and quantity record.

A spreadsheet is useful when every row means the same thing and the total excludes unresolved assumptions.

By ANCO Apparel & Uniforms · Published · Updated

Short answer: Use one row for each unique combination of garment style, fit range, colour, size, artwork version and print locations. Record a whole-number quantity and a status. Sum confirmed rows separately from pending selections and proposed spares, then save a dated version before sharing it for a quote.

Download and replace the illustrative rows

Open the CSV in a spreadsheet app or a text editor. The included rows are illustrative: replace them with your actual style and size choices before sharing.

Download the group-size template (CSV)

No form or email required.

The CSV is a planning aid, not an order submission. Save your own copy and send the confirmed breakdown through the agreed quote process. The sample uses generic style references and does not describe ANCO stock.

Filter by status before adding

Illustrative example · Not a documented customer order

The sample has confirmed quantities of 6, 8, 6 and 4 across four sizes in one generic adult style. The confirmed total is 6 + 8 + 6 + 4 = 24. A separate row records 2 wearers whose size choices remain pending.

Another row proposes 2 spares. Neither the pending row nor the proposed-spare row belongs in the 24 confirmed pieces. If the coordinator later approves those spares with actual sizes, their status and specification are updated before recalculating the confirmed total.

Use your spreadsheet's filter to view only confirmed rows, then check the quantity sum. Also inspect the rows themselves: a correct sum cannot reveal that a youth medium was accidentally combined with an adult medium.

Keep the chart and version attached to the record

The BELLA+CANVAS measurement sheet and Independent style-sheet index illustrate why sizes belong to specific styles and constructions. Use the current chart for the proposed garment and recheck selections after a substitution.

  1. Replace all illustrative rows and generic style references with actual choices.
  2. Keep unresolved choices pending instead of guessing a size.
  3. Check that each row has one garment, fit range, colour, size and artwork combination.
  4. Reconcile the confirmed quantity sum against the wearers and approved spares.
  5. Save a dated filename and identify the coordinator.
  6. When changes occur, send the replacement version with a short list of changed rows.

Use the record in the quote and final approval

Bring the breakdown to ANCO's custom-apparel service with the original artwork and requested date. A changed file does not automatically change an order already approved for production; ask about the current stage before relying on a revision.

Use the cost-factor comparison to keep quote scopes equivalent. Before final sign-off, reconcile the garment rows with the artwork proof checklist.

Sources and scope

Manufacturer examples explain specific products and do not confirm ANCO stock, equipment or suppliers. ANCO reviews the proposed garment, artwork and order before confirming suitability.

A few practical answers.

These answers are a starting point. Your garment, artwork and order details determine the final conversation.

Does downloading or filling in the CSV place an order?

No. It prepares a breakdown for discussion. Garments, artwork, quantities, scope and timing still require review and confirmation.

Should pending sizes be counted?

They can remain visible as pending wearer needs, but keep them out of a final confirmed size breakdown until the actual choices are resolved.
