Short answer: Choose a pullover when its over-the-head wear and front layout suit the group; consider a full zip when opening or removing the layer is important. Test the garment in the way it will actually be worn, and have any artwork near a zipper, pocket or seam reviewed before approval.

Compare the wearing routine
| Check | Pullover | Full zip |
|---|---|---|
| Putting it on | Try the over-the-head movement and neckline | Try fastening, unfastening and removal |
| Changing layers | Decide whether full removal suits the task | Check comfort and appearance both open and closed |
| Front design area | Check the pocket and seams even without a centre zipper | Identify the centre zipper and separate left/right areas |
| Visible message | Review the design in its normal wearing position | Check whether opening the garment changes the message |
| Personal preference | Ask the wearer about the actual style | Do not assume a zip solves every fit or access need |
A full zip and a pullover with similar names may have different measurements, pockets or fabric details. The Independent Trading Company sales-sheet index lists distinct constructions as separate styles. Use exact references when asking about options; the index does not establish ANCO stock.
Treat the zipper as part of the garment
Do not design on an empty rectangle and add the garment afterwards. A zipper is a raised feature that can affect the application surface. STAHLS' application guidance explains the relevance of even pressure around seams, buttons and zippers. That is a reason for review, not a promise that a particular design can or cannot be produced.
- Show the exact garment style with the artwork proposal.
- Mark whether artwork sits on one side, both sides or another location.
- Inspect the design with the garment open and closed.
- Check the pocket boundary and the smallest garment size.
- Ask ANCO to confirm suitability before committing to artwork across a raised feature.

Choose the opening before finalizing the logo
Illustrative example · Not a documented customer order
A check-in team moves between an entrance and an indoor desk. Members expect to remove or open their outer layer during the shift, so the coordinator proposes a full zip after collecting their preferences.
The initial front graphic spans the centre of the mockup. The coordinator revises the brief to request a separate chest logo and checks it with the garment open. ANCO still needs to review the exact style, dimensions and location; the sketch does not approve production.
Confirm construction before collecting final sizes
Record the closure, style reference, colour and fit range in the custom hoodie request. If the group accepts either closure, say what the decision depends on. Do not collect one set of final sizes and silently transfer it to a different style.
If a hood is still undecided, return to hoodies versus crewnecks. Once construction is chosen, compare fabric and weight specifications before treating two garments as equivalent.

Manufacturer examples explain specific products and do not confirm ANCO stock, equipment or suppliers. ANCO reviews the proposed garment, artwork and order before confirming suitability.
